Welcome to the Horseshoe Ranch, home of several beautiful Gypsy horses in Topsham, Vermont. Owned and operated by Joe, Michelle and Emilie Osgood. We are a small family farm dedicated to breeding and training quality Gypsy horses, by keeping our farm small, we are able to give each horse individual attention. We fell in love with this amazing breed of horse in 2003 when we purchased our first Gypsy horse, Enchanted Kearney. And have since added several to the herd. We have purchased very well bred Gypsy horses with incredible temperaments, traditional confirmation, tons of hair and feathers, and true Gypsy style for the foundation of our breeding program, which includes lines going back to The Roadsweeper (UK), The Governor, Sids Good Stallion, Tumbleweed, Romeo and Playboy to name a few.
Emilie also has a gorgeous Icelandic mare, Drottning. She is a fabulous trail horse, and Emilie and Drottning have done several shows and done extremely well!!
We handle our horses everyday, and all of our horses are trained using natural horsemanship methods. We show all of our gypsies, and they all have done extremely well, many taking Championships! Several of our Gypsies are Merit award winners for the Gypsy Horse Registry of America.
Our main focus and passion is trail riding. Gypsy horses are amazing family horses, and will do anything you ask of them. We currently have our Stallion, Connors Malachi riding and driving. We are really excited about the new addition coming soon, our up and coming stallion, Uncommon Valor, a gorgeous buckskin tobiano colt! Watch for this boy out in the show ring next year!!
